Woman who beat, strangled dog to death sentenced to 24-month mandatory treatment order

SINGAPORE: A 26-year old Oriental nationwide who strangled and beat her puppy to demise was sentenced on Fri (January 13) to endure two years of obligatory therapy on her psychological disorder.

Wang Jun, a Singapore permanent citizen, have been charged of pet cruelty in December this past year. Inspections by the Agrifood and Professional Specialist (AVA) unveiled that she’d seated about the Westland Highland Terrier, called Jr, lined its mouth and struck its throat to prevent it from shouting.

In a press launch on Friday, AVA pressured that it will investigate all feedback and condemns functions of pet cruelty. It included: “we shall consider enforcement activity if justified against those who have dedicated an act of pet cruelty and certainly will push for prevention phrases.”
